Northwest UAV worked with the Oregon Nanoscience and Microtechnologies Institute to design a more efficient fuel injector.

The city of La Grande borrowed $2,750,000 from the department's Special Public Works Fund for Community Facilities and matched it with their own $3,560,000 to purchase a 20,000-square-foot library facility on the old Safeway property. The city developed additional shared facilitites and paid for related joint development costs with their own resources (not from the proceeds of the loan).
