Community Development Block Grant COVID-19 Response Programs

  • COVID-19 Small Business Assistance and Microenterprise Projects
  • Special Economic Development Assistance/Buildings/Public Service Application

Business Oregon has made available $3,750,000 of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) for non-entitlement communities impacted by COVID-19. The funds will be divided into two project types: $2,000,000 for Small Business/Microenterprise Assistance and $1,750,000 for emergency COVID-19 response assistance—projects that prevent, prepare for, and respond to the COVID-19. All program funds are available on a first-come first-serve basis. Eligible applications will be accepted until all the allocated funding has been exhausted.

Small Business and Microenterprise Assistance

These funds will be accessible to non-entitlement communities through the release of a Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA). The NOFA and use of CDBG is in response to the current COVID pandemic in an effort to provide assistance to our rural communities.

Those interested in applying for the Small Business and Microenterprise Assistance Program need to submit an application online. Information will be available on May 22, 2020, and applications will be accepted starting May 26, 2020. View the NOFA, pre-application, and application information.

Emergency COVID-19 Response Assistance

These funds are geared toward assistance for medical supplies manufacturing, facilities improvements in response to infectious disease, and increase in public services in assisting the communities in responding to the risk of COVID-19. Similarly, these funds will be available for non-entitlement communities only. View program information, pre-application, and application details.
